As a child, I was an eager and fortunate listener to my mother’s amazing stories. She procrastinated until retirement to start trying to publish them and died in a kayaking accident soon after, well before the self-publishing revolution took hold.
I only wish Scrivener existed then so she could have shared her stories with the world. Like her, I have the same writing bug and tried a few times to figure out how to use Word to self-publish, investing in expensive programs that did not live up to their promises.
Since then, I discovered Scrivener and never looked back. It’s like the answer to a writer’s prayers as I was finally able to self-publish with ease. I am thrilled to be able to help empower other authors to be able to use Scrivener to self-publish now that they can do so with a few clicks on a computer. This is the best time in the world to be a writer, largely I think due to the Scrivener App’s existence and I don’t take it for granted. I’ve only begun to scratch the surface of what’s possible now and it is inspiring to have the world at your fingertips because of Scrivener. Best app ever!
